My medical field of specialty is cardiovascular disease with a focus on patients with advanced heart failure, in need of cardiac transplant or mechanical heart support. I have a passion for clinical research in the realm of left ventricular assist device (LVAD) support, specifically focusing on patient risk stratification and morbidity and mortality after LVAD implant. I also worked with a software company to create an "app" for LVAD risk stratification using the HeartMate II Risk Score (J Am Coll Cardiol. 2013;61(3):313-321) and for LVAD trouble shooting.
